NO LIVE INSTRUCTION ON MONDAY 08/31 AND TUESDAY 09/01/2020
The Chula Vista Elementary School District starts online instruction on Monday 08/31/2020. In consideration of our community partners in education, the Sweetwater School District is asking our Middle and High Schools not to use live meetings on Monday and Tuesday to allow a smooth start to their online instruction. Teachers will have lessons and classwork for the students and attendance will be based on the work turned in for those two days.

Starting Friday 9/18/2020 the schedule for Friday will start at 9:25am instead of 9:00am

COMPUTER ISSUES?
Having computer problems? Problems uploading, downloading or attending live meetings? Problems with google drive or can’t remember your password?Don’t let technical issues get in the way of your education. Please email Mr. Pele, our computer technician, and/or Mr. Govea, Assistant Principal for technology with any questions or to troubleshoot your device. Mr. Govea can also be reached via Jupiter Grades if you are not able to log into your email.
HAS YOUR STUDENT BEEN MARKED ABSENT?
Student grades are based on the work they do and their classwork during meetings. However, their attendance is based on students logging into their class for live instruction with the teacher and being active in the class. Some students have been marked absent because they did not attend the scheduled live session with their teacher or they logged in but were unresponsive during the class, meaning they did not participate. If your student was marked absent please email the teacher directly to find out why, either via Jupiter Grades or sending them a regular email using the staff email list. You can also email our Attendance Technician, Ms. Enriques, , if your student experienced technical difficulties for a certain period(s).
CALL IN ABSENCES
Students that are sick, have a doctor’s appointment, or have another absence that the parents are aware of, should be reported to attendance so that we may log the absence as excused. Please email our Attendance Technician, Ms. Enriques, if your student will miss all or part of a scheduled school day.
ALL STUDENTS NEED TO CHANGE THEIR PASSWORD
Students: Don’t let your online safety and security be compromised. In order to heighten your log-in information we would like all students to register for Self-Service Password Reset, then change your password to something only you and your parents will know.Instructions on how to do it can be found following this link: www.sweetwaterschools.org/passwordmanagement/
